Gassy New Moon

So I've been smelling gas in my car for a while now. I didn't think so much about it, because it usually was only in the morning. I thought perhaps it was only because I've just filled up the gas tank, or maybe someone near by had spilled some, maybe it's the exhaust that's acting up.

But when I was in Fredrikstad, it smelled a little bit more. I asked everyone about it, if they could smell it too, and yes, they did. But it went away as soon as we started driving. Then, Monday last week, I was home because of my back. But when dad got up to get ready for work, the smell of gas was inside the house. I park my car right next to the washing room window, and that window is always open. So the tank I filled up before I left Fredrikstad on Sunday had leaked out a bit. It smelled awful. Dad checked the car when he got home from work, and the tank had rusted and cracked at the top. I asked if this would cost a lot, and he said it would. So my whole world fell apart. I was afraid of the car, thinking it might blow up, since gas was leaking. I imagined it would cost me thousands and thousands of money to fix it. I cried my eyes out, sat in my room, looking around and wondering what I could sell. With what I imagined the cost to be, it would be cheaper to buy a new used car.

On Tuesday, dad got me a brand new gas tank on Tuesday, for just 2000 kroners, my uncle put it on on Sunday, and now my car is usable again. But I hated the week without the car. That Monday I had a chiropractor appointment, so mom had to drive me. On Wednesday I had another appointment, so I went to my get my grandparents' car on Tuesday evening, drove that on Wednesday, and delivered it right away, and grandpa drove me home. On Thursday I had a hair appointment, but I cancelled it. Didn't think I could give myself a proper cut for 400-500 kroners right now. So some lady at mom's work will cut it for 200. And on Thursday evening/night, it was time for the New Moon premier. Then I borrowed dads car, figured he wouldn't need it in the middle of the night.

Enough of that, the car is fixed now.

New Moon was amazing. Heidi had gotten 2 tickets to the pre premier, and 5 tickets to the midnight premier. Heidi and Marion so the pre premier at Colosseum, and Heidi, Marion, Ragnhild, Karine and me saw the midnight premier at Ringen Kino. I liked the Harry Potter midnight premier better, just because it were more adults there, not so much squealing teens. I remember one girl, across from me in the theater, everytime Edward kissed Bella, or said something sweet or hot, or just had screen time, she sighed and fanned herself. Grow up! I mean, yes, I was a total goner with a certain boy band member when I was a bit younger than her, but I wasn't that insane. And yes, I may be fawning over Hugh Jackman, Draco Malfoy and Edward too, but I'm still not crazy. Whatever, her embarrassment in the long run, not mine.

But again, New Moon was amazing. It was true to the book, as much as possible with a movie version anyway. But I suppose that is because Chris Weitz directed it. He did the Golden Compass too, and he really gets into the movie he's making, and he's all about being true to the story.

Taylor Lautner, or Jacob, was hot. I wasn't that sure about him, just seeing the pictures and the trailers and previews, but getting the whole movie, he was bloody hot. So I guess, in the bookverse, I am on Team Edward, and in the movieverse, I am Team Switzerland.

But enough of that now. Will acquire a screening of New Moon, then I will buy the DVD, delete the screening, and have myself a Twilight marathon. So to end this post, here's the trailer:

I'm on the edge of my seat with chills just watching it now...
