The Christmas Tree

(Fanfiction information/update at bottom of post.) So I decorated my Christmas tree this late late evening (it's 1:50am, I was done around 1:15am). Early, I know, but I don't care. Christmas is technically over on midnight Christmas Eve, most of what we're waiting for is happening that evening (at least here in Norway), so why should we wait until December 20th at the earliest, or December 23rd at the latest before we put the thing up? And then just have a few days to enjoy it. No, the waiting is what's exciting, so we should make the most of the days leading up to Christmas Eve.

Before, after, and with a couple of presents.

Some decorations:

All my decorations are up now. In my own apartment. Wonderful! I promise I will take some lovely pictures and post them! I'm very happy about how everything turned out, even though I have way too little. All of my decorations was just enough for my room at home with my parents, goes without saying that it's just not enough for an entire apartment. And most of what I have is small. Small snow globes, small Santas, small everything. Well, you'll see when I post pictures of it all.

Onto fanfiction. For those of you wondering what's happening with the update of Lunar Phases, it's on the way. I sent it to my britpicker Orion Knight today, a file she could open this time ;P So, as soon as she's done, I will go through the changes/edits and convert the chapter to the three different formats and different html codes needed for all the various sites I post at. I'm currently reading through chapter five as well, so I can send it to Orion Knight as soon as she's ready for it after chapter four. And then I'll start going through the mess of NaNoWriMo.

So chapter four is soon coming to a computer near you! :)

Second Sunday of Advent

The advent candles this year was given to me a moving-in-present from my lovable friend Tine. I had so been looking forward to lighting them, because I had finally gotten proper numbers to put on the candles. The numbers have a pin on the backside, so I can push them into the candle. So the moment I unwrapped the candles, I put them up. This was was Saturday November 19th, 8 days before the first Sunday of Advent. And I was dying to light them, the following week. But because I was so much behind on NaNoWriMo, I forgot to light on the first Sunday of Advent. I didn't really matter, because I was sitting in the office the entire day anyway, and the Advent candles are in the living room. But I've been lighting in a little bit every day after NaNo.

Anyway, today is the second Sunday of Advent, and here is the annual picture:

Advent calendar Part 1

My calendar. Same picture as I posted yesterday, but this is, well, as you can see; prettier and edited.
The presents in my advent calendar December 1st to December 4th:

December 1st ^: A red curtain 160cm long
December 2nd ^: A box of "leverpostei", to eat on bread.

December 3rd ^: A red curtain 220cm long
December 4th ^: Refridgerator magnet, orange pig.

And when mum came over today, I opened tomorrow's gift too, which is another red curtain 220cm long, so she could help me put them up along with my old panel curtains. Result:

Winter Poems signed!

Secret Garden came to Strømmen Storsenter (a local mall) to sign their new album, Winter Poems. So I went! Yay! And it is (or was, since it's now past midnight) my grandmother's birthday, and when I called her to congratulate her, she said she wanted one too. So I bought two albums and got them to sign their names on both, including "To Tove" on the one to grandmother!

So, it's been a very good week! Job interview at a recruitment agency on Monday, and they saw me as a good candidate for an interesting job as a webmaster at Boots in Oslo. On Wednesday mum came over and surprised me with an advent calendar (I will post images of my presents once a week or so) and I won NaNoWriMo. On Thursday I cleaned the apartment and went to the final web-marketing-workshop. On Friday Ragnhild and I dogsat Heidi and Kjetil's dog, Dexter. Today I met Secret Garden and got two signed cds and had taco over at my parents' house afterwards.

Let's just hope I didn't just jinx it for tomorrow.
